  • Beautifully Basic Buttercream
    We are planning a fun day exploring the various ways you can work with buttercream. We will show how to cover a cake with buttercream, how to use over 12 different decorative tips, how to make bows, writing, scrolls, etc. Also, since Halloween is so close, how about learning how to decorated cupcakes like mummies and spider webs? Come join us, this workshop is perfect for beginners.

    When: Saturday, October 23rd 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Cost: $40.00 for members / $45.00 for non-members
    Difficulty: One Star Level

  • A Romantic Wedding Cake
    Jay Qualls has agreed to come to Montreal for this one day workshop, highlighting his talents with a "Romantic Wedding cake" workshop. As a bonus, the workshop will be followed by an hour of demonstrations. This is going to be a fantastic day.

    When: Saturday, October 30th 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Cost: $140.00 for workshop including one hour demonstration and lunch
    Instructors: Jay Qualls, CEO of Maples Wedding Cakes from Tennessee

  • Fun with Figurines- Let's eat - Lazy cow - Dizzy snail
    During this workshop France Lapensée will be showing how to make figurines using fondant and minimal tools. We will learn the proper sequence to making these designs, how to make facial expressions as well as flowers without cutters. This workshop is an excellent template for any shape of animal/figurines you would ever like to make. The same principal could be used to make a bride and groom figurine.

    When: Saturday, November 27th 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Cost: $40.00 for members / $45.00 for non-members
    Difficulty: 3 to 4 Star Level

  • Cookie Craft
    Come join us as we demonstrate the newest trend in cookie decorating. We will decorate cookies with royal icing, fondant, etc and will also show you how to prepare a cookie "container" to hold all these goodies. How about learning how to make little "petit fours" (little cakes thinly coated with fondant) for the holiday season.

    When: Saturday, December 11th 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Cost: $40.00 for members / $45.00 for non-members
    Difficulty: One to Two Star Level
    Instructors: Sylvie Delisle and Monica Ahti

What does the star level mean?
To help in choosing a workshop that would best suit your knowledge, we have applied a star level to each workshop. For example, a one star level workshop would best suit beginners, whereas a three to four star workshop would equate to a more difficult workshop.

Policy:

    Registration is Mandatory.

    Registration:

      All registered workshops must be paid for in full prior to the workshop in order to secure your spot. Registrations will be taken up to 1 week before the workshop date.

    Cancellation:

      All cancellations are subject to a 50% cancellation fee held by the club.
      No refunds will be issued 1 week prior to workshop date.

    A list of supplies needed will be given to those who register and pay the workshop fee, and registration details will be provided at the meeting.
