Meetings

Hello everyone,

We have many fun and interesting hands-on and demos planned for you.

At every meeting, you will have the opportunity to watch a demonstration and learn some new techniques. You will also complete a small item for the hands-on and bring it home with you. We chose projects in many different mediums so you will have the chance to use them if they are not familiar to you.
For example, we will be working with buttercream, fondant, Mexican paste and cold porcelain. You will also be expected to bring with you a "basic kit" and if anything extra is needed, we will advise you in the outgoing message to the members.

Basic Kit Items:
-Placemat
-Angled spatula
-Two piping bags, two couplers and two rings
-One tip # 3, and one tip # 16
-Puff (j-cloth or nylon stocking/elastic) with icing sugar
-Small rolling pin
-Scissors
-X-acto knife
-Small paintbrush

We meet on the third Tuesday of every month, September to June, from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. (Please arrive between 7:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.)

  Geraldine and Alan Randlesome will be showcasing their line of products using their brand of fondant and doing demos. They have also generously offered to bring down any orders from their website with them so that we do not have to pay shipping costs. Check out their website. All they ask is to order and pay on-line making sure that you mention you are a member of the WICC to receive your discount.
  
  We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the March meeting. For those members that were interested in the white mats that we use for workshops, we now have some available at a cost of $5.00 for 4 mats-includes 2 small, 1 medium and 1 large. Let Carmen or I know if you are interested and we will bring them on the 17th.
